About AI Coding Calculators
AI Coding Calculators is a small, independent site with one job: turn the constantly changing prices and usage limits of AI coding tools into a number you can plan around — which Claude plan fits your hours, whether you'll hit the weekly limit, what an API workload or an always-on agent actually costs per month.
Where the numbers come from
Plan prices and per-token rates are taken from the vendors' own pricing pages (Anthropic, OpenAI, Cursor, GitHub) and re-checked regularly; every calculator shows the date its figures were last verified. Usage ranges for Claude Code come from Anthropic's published support documentation. Token-consumption assumptions for light, moderate and heavy coding sessions are stated on each page so you can adjust them to your own workflow.
How the estimates work
Each calculator applies the published rules — plan limits, per-million-token prices, cache discounts — to the hours, tokens or budget you enter, and shows the arithmetic. They are planning estimates. Vendors change limits without notice, actual token use varies enormously with codebase size and context length, and no calculator can see your invoice. Treat the result as a solid starting point, then confirm with your own usage dashboard.
Who runs this
The site is built and maintained by a small business owner in Kentucky who builds his own tools with AI coding agents and got tired of re-deriving the same cost math every time a plan changed. If you spot a stale price or want a calculator that doesn't exist yet, let us know.
Independence and how the site makes money
We are not affiliated with Anthropic, OpenAI, Cursor, GitHub, Microsoft or any hosting company. The site shows ads and may include affiliate links to hosting and developer tools; that never changes the math or the recommendation. If you give us your email to unlock a result, we use it to send occasional pricing-change alerts, and you can unsubscribe with one click. We never sell it.
